Spring Cleanse 2013 – Day 2 & 3

04/10/2013 Posted by Turtle Flo Health & Wellness

I decided to combine day 2 & 3 because it is hard to remember all the insights from the previous day. So I will write at the end of each day for the next 3 days.

Day 2

Whatever tiredness I had from Day 1 went away after the energetic kundalini yoga practice in the morning. I didn’t have much going on until noon to teach my Lunch Refresh (Flow) yoga class and only work onsite for half day. So I had more time to relax. I didn’t feel tired at all and didn’t feel hungry nor have any cravings. We were to watch any attachments or aversions today. Ended the evening with Marianne Williamson’s lecture. The theme was how we can always start again and it’s never too late. Often times we limit ourselves with our limited thinking and identifying with our small selves. It felt very much in alignment with the goal of doing a cleanse. It is to get rid of all the toxins in our body, mind and spirit.

Day3

Still feeling pretty good and haven’t had much detox symptoms since day 1. I was somewhat sore and tight in the hamstrings from yesterday’s yoga practice. Started the morning with another energetic kundalini practice. Worked full day onsite so today was a real test on how I’m doing with the cleanse. I felt pretty good most of the day. Didn’t feel sleepy until about 3 or 4 pm. Went through the juices much quicker than the first two days. I was hungry on the way home and thought I was done with all the juices. Then when I opened the refrigerator, I had left one of the green juices for after work. It felt magical. I could already feel my legs really heavy and sore from today’s practice. So took a nice long epsom salt bath with lavender oil while listening to Snatam Kaur and sipping my last green juice. It’s the best thing for sore muscles. I did my homework for the day of 11-minute meditation. It got me so high yet I was nodding off while doing it. I was supposed be still after the meditation and do some free writing. But it knocked me out and I had nothing to write but had to lie down and sleep for a bit. Maybe I should’ve done this earlier in the day.  Overall I’m feeling good and enjoyed watching what everyone is eating around me. I’m really taking it easy this week to give time for introspection. Today I felt a great sense of gratitude and peace. Best of all was this overwhelming certainty that even the bad stuff that is happening is guiding me to my path just as much as the good things. Til tomorrow… Love & light!
